Copyright Protection Policy

At Homeschool Letter of Intent, we deeply respect intellectual property rights and are committed to protecting copyrighted materials. It is our policy to respond appropriately to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the United States' copyright law, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). In our efforts to champion the legal use of educational materials and support the intellectual property rights of creators, we foster a process that aids in the efficient identification and resolution of potential copyright infringements.

DMCA Notice and Takedown Procedure

Adhering to the DMCA's provisions, Homeschool Letter of Intent has established a notice and takedown procedure for copyright owners or their agents who believe their work has been copied and posted on our website without authorization. Upon receiving a properly formulated DMCA notice, our designated agent will act swiftly to remove or disable access to the material claimed to be infringing. Steps in the reporting process include the identification of copyrighted work that has allegedly been infringed, a description of where the material in question is located on our site, and sufficient contact information to allow us to communicate effectively.

Filing a Counter-Notice

If you are a content provider whose work has been removed or disabled in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. This process involves providing a written communication that includes your physical or electronic signature, a description of the material that has been removed and where it previously appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake, and your contact information. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, Homeschool Letter of Intent will promptly provide the complaining party with your notice, informing them that the removed material will be restored or access re-enabled within 10 business days.
